Eindhoven Airport is increasingly important on the list of Dutch airports. The airport’s growth is undeniable. To be able to manage this growth, a new passenger terminal was built. The construction plans included security for the new terminal and the surrounding terrain. The most important point of departure was the choice for an integrated solution. The iProtect Security Management System was the perfect solution.
Integrated security
New legislation by the European Commission states that it is mandatory for airport terminals to have different zones that are only accessible to authorized persons who have been allocated a personalized access pass. The web-based iProtect system provided the solution. The various security features, such as access control, visitor registration, intrusion detection, video surveillance, time registration and parking management have been fully integrated.
The security management system’s base at Eindhoven Airport consists of Access Control and Keybadge, components that take care of card issues and card control. The overall security at Eindhoven Airport is now guaranteed by the Intrusion Detection module. Having no less than 200 intrusion detectors, the new terminal has the best monitoring.
Video Surveillance
Video Surveillance also contributes to the security. Floor plans display visually where an alarm is identified. By clicking on the alarm location, live images are retrieved to be able to take suitable precautionary measures. Having opted for iProtect, Eindhoven Airport has selected a future-proof system!
