Security Update Release: Keeping abreast of technological changes and developments
TKH Security has updated the IPROTECT software, with 10.2.XX offering not only improved functionalities but also some exciting new features.
System Highlights:
- New server dashboard named (cockpit) – An easy-to-use graphical web browser: a lightweight and simple yet powerful monitoring and management tool for your server.
- New VMS connection – SSL connection for heightened security and safeguarding of sensitive data sent between systems.
- API change (login) – Prevents malicious attacks that occur through cross-site request forgery (CSRF), a type of attack that tricks a user into sending unintended data.
- New (online) installation procedure – TKH Security repository – our current installation version.
- New operating system, Ubuntu 20.04 – Long-term stable version with security updates.
- Improved security for operating system and IPROTECT application – Using the latest techniques and software, we have made IPROTECT as safe as possible.
- Maintenance and bug fixes – Ensuring your software runs smoothly and efficiently.
New Features:
- By constantly developing and listening to our customer needs, IPROTECT 10.2.XX boasts the following new features:
- Confirm office mode – Following previous version settings for door behaviour, confirm office mode now offers an extra door control function. When the door is put into office mode, but the door is not opened, the office mode will be switched off again.
- Boot behaviour of the controller – which now acts as a failsafe in emergencies and situations in which visitors need to exit security (locked or unlocked) doors without a card/pass.
- Downloadable PDF files – Easily edit and download PDFs for your reports at the touch of a button.
- System user – Allows you to demand the renewal of passwords in connection with expiry dates to stay on top of your security procedures. For example, Global system setting: Password expires after (Days), and Password needs to be changed in (Days).
