The Network and System Administrator is responsible for the company’s IT infrastructure. This role requires an experienced IT professional who can ensure the reliability, security, and optimal performance of various technology infrastructure components. The Senior Network and System Administrator will work closely with our security officer, management, and end-users to monitor system events, address technical issues, implement new technologies, and maintain high levels of system availability and security.
As a Network and System Administrator you will:
- Propose and implement new solutions to continuously improve the IT landscape
- Manage and troubleshoot our servers and network equipment consisting of a PROXMOX environment, CISCO routers, switches and Unify equipment
- Be the administrator of our Azure and AWS environment
- Resolve operational problems
- Monitor security and performance, perform updates, and ensure systems are up-to-date and secure
- Perform regular backup operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery and failover procedures
- Provide technical support, resolve help desk requests, and train users on system usage.
- Implement security measures, conduct audits, and ensure compliance with security policies.
- Maintain documentation of system configurations, procedures, and changes.

Who are we looking for?
For the position of Network and System Administrator, we are looking for someone who:
- Has at least HBO work and thinking level;
- Has 3 years or more experience in managing complex IT environments or a similar role;
- Speaks good Dutch and English;
- Skilled in the field of IPv4 and IPv6 routing and networking
- Experience with various VPN technologies
- Microsoft 365 and Azure/EntraID
- Experience with virtualization in Proxmox, Docker and Kubernetes
