People Manager at R&D

What are you going to do?
As a Software R&D Manager at TKH Security, you are responsible for leading a team of 15 application software developers with another R&D Manager. Your team works on various products within multidisciplinary product teams, each sharing a core expertise in software development. You will play a critical role in providing leadership, management, and direction to ensure effective collaboration and knowledge sharing, so all product teams benefit from your team’s skills.
Your responsibilities include motivating and supporting the professional development of your team members, aligning their growth with organizational needs. You will identify and address bottlenecks in the software development process, guide your team in resolving these challenges, and oversee the Secure Software Development Lifecycle (SSDLC) to maintain high standards. You’ll also work closely with other key roles within the organization to optimize team effectiveness and continuously improve results.
Our R&D department
Our R&D department follows a roadmap created by our product management team, which includes multiple product Managers (each responsible for a specific portfolio) and several product owners who work directly with multidisciplinary teams to support execution. This roadmap is based on a product line strategy shaped by input from stakeholders and market research, guiding our development teams to achieve strategic goals.
As part of the R&D management team, you’ll work alongside another R&D Manager (focused on firmware and hardware engineering), the Head of Development, and a Scrum Master. Together, we ensure that the R&D organization has the tools, skills, and resources to effectively implement this roadmap within a SSDLC. This includes, for example, keeping knowledge up to date, supporting skills development and providing engineers with what they need to deliver high-quality to secure results on time. Our focus is on effective execution with a strong commitment to quality, security, efficiency, and teamwork.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a people Manager who is passionate about supporting team members in their career growth. You will play a key role in developing talent and guiding individuals to reach their potential within our organization.
- A bachelor’s degree;
- At least 3 years of experience in management or as a Scrum Master, preferably within complex IT environments;
- Practical knowledge of SSDLC and good development practices;
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills;
- You have a perfect understanding of the English and Dutch language;
- Strong analytical skills for diagnosing issues and identifying improvements.
