Park Assist has been awarded the Parking Guidance System contract for Mall of the Netherlands

Cheshire, Connecticut – April 30, 2019 – Park Assist has been awarded the Parking Guidance System (PGS) contract for Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield’s Mall of the Netherlands located in The Hague, The Netherlands. The Mall of the Netherlands is a major extension and refurbishment of the current Leidsenhage shopping centre and will be one of Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield’s flagship shopping destinations with national and international premium brands and flagship stores. Park Assist’s M4 Parking Guidance System will be installed into the 3 indoor Car Parks.

Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield is a global Park Assist customer and chose the M4 Parking Guidance System for Mall of the Netherlands based on previous installations at their properties in Europe and the United States. The M4 camera-based smart-sensor PGS is used to help quickly guide visitors to available parking spaces. The patented, camera-based technology guides visitors upon entry to vacant spots using color-coded, smart-sensors, saving visitors time by quickly guiding them to an open parking space. In addition to the M4 PGS, Park Finder, Park Assist’s advanced vehicle locator technology, will also be introduced. Find Your Car, which is a feature within Park Finder allows for the parker to enter their license plate number and locate their car in seconds. Parkers can locate their cars at a Park Finder enabled pay station, touchscreen kiosk, or via smartphone app.

The installation of Park Assist’s M4 PGS and Park Finder will create a unique experience by elevating the parker’s experience through technological innovation and advanced smart systems. The project is being completed with partner, Scheidt & Bachmann and is being installed in two phases. The installations began in January 2019 and have an expected completion of January 2020.

“Park Assist is delighted to partner with Scheidt & Bachmann and Unibail-Rodamco – Westfield to deliver an elevated parker experience through our award-winning smart technology system.” said Joe Ruggero, Global Executive Vice president of Park Assist.
