Park Assist’s Parking Guidance System Chosen to Elevate Parking at Washington University’s New Garage

ST. LOUIS, MISSOURI – December 12th, 2019 – Park Assist® has been awarded the Parking Guidance System (PGS) contract for Washington University. Located in St. Louis, MO, the campus spans across nearly 170 acres and is attended by over 15,000 undergraduate and graduate students. Park Assist’s M4 camera-based smart-sensor Parking Guidance System is currently being installed into the University’s new underground parking garage, which contains 790 parking stalls.

The University’s new parking facility will have natural light and high ceilings that reach above 18 feet in certain areas. The garage will provide safe and convenient access to the Danforth Campus, especially east-end destinations. The M4 camera-based smart-sensor PGS is used to help quickly and effortlessly guide visitors to available parking spaces. The patented, camera-based technology guides visitors upon entry to vacant spots using color-coded, smart-sensors, saving visitors time and getting them to their destination faster.

The McCarthy Builders chose Park Assist’s M4 Parking Guidance System because it has the ability to improve traffic flow throughout the garage while maintaining its aesthetic design. The sleek, color-coded M4 sensors provide parkers with clear sightlines for easy guidance and navigation. This will fulfill the University’s objective to improve traffic flow and elevate the parker’s experience by guiding them to open spaces faster. The installation is currently underway and is expected to be completed by the end of 2019.

“We are delighted to help achieve Washington University’s objectives to deliver convenience and safety for parkers utilizing the Danforth Campus.” – Will Cai, Regional Account Manager.
