Liebherr logistics center in Oberopfingen, Germany, built a new warehouse for the worldwide supply of spare parts for earthmoving machines, whose state-of-the-art logistics facilities allow an output of 3,500 spare parts per hour. In the long term, the spare parts logistics of further product lines of the company will also be integrated in this location.
To protect the high-value goods, the access roads, parking lots, and ramps must be surveilled. The exterior must be monitored as well, also in conditions of poor visibility – such as fog, rain, and snow.
Flexible Video Management
“We decided to use VDG SENSE VMS because cameras of any brand can be integrated, including the FLIR and Grundig cameras that are used in this project. Because of the almost unlimited scalability of VDG SENSE VMS, Liebherr is ready for any future extensions. Last but not least we could adapt the flexible user interface to the specific needs of each user and deliver the high user convenience that the customer asked for.”
